Domain Names

All websites need a domain name! A domain name is a string of text that maps to an alphanumeric IP address, used to access a website.

So for example, itsyourhosting.com is our domain name. You can buy your own domain name and we can help you point your website at our servers. If you want to keep it simple, we can also help you find the domain name for your website. It all helps to streamline the process of getting your website up and running on our servers.

Emails

There’s no need to explain what an email is now is there? We use Rackspace Email which is an affordable, business-class email hosting solution with anytime, anywhere access.

If you need an email address linked to your website, we can provide you with as many as you need. There is a small fee for each email address.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a free web analytics service provided by Google that allows you to analyse in-depth detail about the visitors on your website. What they do, what pages they visit, how they got there and how they interact with content on your pages.
We provide a service to set up Google Analytics tracking on your website. We will give you access to your Google Analytics account and you can analyse your website traffic yourself.

If you don’t have time to check this out yourself, we can provide you with periodic reports so you can keep an eye on what pages are performing well for you.

WordPress Maintenance

WordPress is a CMS platform that powers over 43% of websites on the internet. Regularly updating WordPress is crucial for several reasons, especially:
Security – Updates often include security patches that protect your site from vulnerabilities. Hackers frequently target outdated versions of WordPress, themes, and plugins. By staying up to date, you reduce the risk of security breaches.

Retainers

This is where the client purchases an amount of hours in advance, the reasons they do this are;

Spread/even out the cost – as hours can be rolled over from one month to the next, making it more predictable

• Better hourly rate – typically a retainer gives you a better rate
• Priority – As the hours are purchased in advance, they get priority on our time ahead of ‘walk-in’ work

Think of it like a barbers, if you had your hair cut 12 times a year, but booked all of them at the beginning of the year you would expect to get a ‘block booking’ discount, and for those booked visits to take precedence over walk in trade.
